Acknowledgment of Risks

I, the undersigned participant, acknowledge that I have voluntarily chosen to use the sauna facilities, cold water immersion activities, and related services provided by Sauna Valdez LLC ("the Company"), located in Valdez, Alaska. I understand that these activities may take place at fixed facilities or at outdoor and oceanside event locations, and may include entry into natural bodies of water, including but not limited to the ocean, glacier-fed rivers, streams, and lakes.

I understand and acknowledge that the use of sauna facilities and participation in cold water immersion activities involves inherent risks, including but not limited to:

Sauna & Heat-Related Risks:
• Heat-related illness, including heat exhaustion, heat stroke, dehydration, dizziness, and fainting;
• Burns from contact with heated surfaces, steam, or hot water;
• Cardiovascular events, including elevated heart rate, changes in blood pressure, heart attack, or stroke;
• Respiratory distress from steam or heated air;
• Allergic reactions to materials, oils, or substances present in the facility.

Cold Water Immersion Risks:
• Cold water shock response, including involuntary gasping, hyperventilation, and sudden cardiac arrest;
• Hypothermia, including loss of consciousness, organ failure, and death;
• Drowning, including drowning resulting from cold water incapacitation, loss of motor control, or involuntary inhalation of water;
• Cardiac arrhythmia or cardiac arrest triggered by sudden exposure to cold water, particularly following sauna use;
• Cold-induced vasoconstriction leading to dangerous changes in blood pressure;
• Nerve damage, numbness, or loss of limb function from prolonged cold exposure.

Natural Environment & General Risks:
• Unpredictable natural water conditions, including currents, tides, waves, submerged objects, uneven or unstable footing, and rapidly changing water temperatures;
• Exposure to wildlife and marine organisms;
• Slip and fall injuries on wet, icy, rocky, or uneven surfaces, both indoors and outdoors;
• Exposure to extreme weather conditions, including wind, rain, snow, and cold ambient temperatures;
• Aggravation of pre-existing medical conditions;
• Injury or death resulting from the foregoing risks or other hazards associated with sauna use, cold water immersion, and related activities.

Assumption of Risk

I VOLUNTARILY ASSUME ALL RISKS associated with my use of the sauna facilities, participation in cold water immersion activities, and entry into natural bodies of water, including risks arising from the NEGLIGENCE of Sauna Valdez LLC, its owners, officers, employees, agents, and representatives. I understand that this assumption of risk extends to risks that are both inherent to these activities and those that may arise from the NEGLIGENCE of the Company or its staff in selecting event locations, maintaining facilities, supervising activities, or providing instruction.

Waiver and Release of Liability

IN CONSIDERATION of being permitted to use the facilities and services of Sauna Valdez LLC, including cold water immersion activities and access to natural bodies of water, I hereby RELEASE, WAIVE, DISCHARGE, AND COVENANT NOT TO SUE Sauna Valdez LLC, its owners, officers, employees, agents, representatives, successors, and assigns (collectively, "the Released Parties") from any and all liability, claims, demands, causes of action, and damages arising out of or related to any loss, damage, or injury, including death, that may be sustained by me, whether caused by the NEGLIGENCE of the Released Parties or otherwise, while participating in or as a result of using the sauna facilities, cold water immersion activities, or any related services at any location.

Indemnification

I agree to INDEMNIFY AND HOLD HARMLESS the Released Parties from any loss, liability, damage, or costs, including attorney's fees, that may be incurred due to any claim made by me or made on my behalf, arising from my use of the sauna facilities, cold water immersion activities, or any related services.

Medical Acknowledgment

I affirm that I am in adequate physical health to use the sauna facilities and participate in cold water immersion activities. I have disclosed all known medical conditions above. I understand that the Company does not provide medical advice and that I should consult a physician before participating if I have any concerns about my health. I understand that the combination of extreme heat and cold water immersion places significant stress on the cardiovascular system.

No Representation of Safety Standards

I acknowledge that Sauna Valdez LLC HAS NOT MADE AND DOES NOT MAKE any representations, warranties, or guarantees regarding the safety of its facilities or the elimination of all risks. I understand that risks remain even with proper maintenance and supervision.

Governing Law

This Waiver and Release of Liability shall be governed by the laws of the State of Alaska. Any dispute arising hereunder shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of the State of Alaska.

Severability

If any provision of this Waiver is found to be void or unenforceable, the remaining provisions shall continue in full force and effect.

I HAVE READ THIS WAIVER AND RELEASE OF LIABILITY, FULLY UNDERSTAND ITS TERMS, AND UNDERSTAND THAT I AM GIVING UP SUBSTANTIAL LEGAL RIGHTS, INCLUDING MY RIGHT TO SUE. I SIGN THIS DOCUMENT FREELY AND VOLUNTARILY.

I hereby grant permission for my child to use the sauna facilities, participate in cold water immersion activities, enter natural bodies of water, and use related services provided by Sauna Valdez LLC ("the Company"), located in Valdez, Alaska. I understand that these activities may take place at fixed facilities or at outdoor and oceanside event locations.

I understand and acknowledge that the use of sauna facilities and participation in cold water immersion activities involves inherent risks to my child, including but not limited to:

Waiver and Release of Liability
